Snicker Caramel Apple Salad Recipe
I love this Snicker Caramel Apple Salad, it definitely speaks to my sweet tooth. The combination of the apples, snickers, and pudding mixed with the other ingredients is a yummy treat. When I am at a picnic or party where this is served, it is my favorite salad to finish my meal, because it is a salad as well as a desert.
Keep an eye on your ingredients if you buy them ahead of time.
My husband has a sweet tooth also, and broke into my bag of Snicker pieces, and I didn’t know about it until I went to make the salad. So luckily I had a few Snicker candy bars in the house and was able to make the salad without running back to the store.
Using the bag of Snicker pieces is only a short-cut to making the recipe, you of course, can buy Snicker candy bars and cut them up.
Making the salad
In a large bowl, whisk the vanilla pudding with the milk. Be sure to whisk it for about two minutes. Then let set until it starts to solidify, I usually let it stand for at least 2-3 minutes. You can refrigerate it if you would like during this time.
While the pudding is setting, cut up the Granny Smith apples. Leave the skins on as it gives some extra color to the salad. However, if you don’t like the skins, you could certainly cut them off.
If you need to cut Snicker bars up, now is the time. Set a few pieces aside to decorate the top of the salad when it has all been mixed up, and maybe sneak a few pieces for a quick snack.
Fold the two containers of Cool Whip into the pudding mixture, until well blended. Add the cut up apple pieces and the Snicker and mix them in. Pour in about 3 tablespoons of caramel sauce and mix well. Finally, when all the ingredients have been added, drizzle caramel sauce over the top of the salad and decorate with the Snicker pieces you had set aside.
Serve right away or refrigerate until it is time to serve. Enjoy this salad soon, it will disappear soon.
