About Keri

Welcome to I Love Lawn Games website. I believe being outside is good for the body and soul and adding the joy of playing games with other people can make us healthier and happy people.

MY STORY

My name is Keri and I am the creator of I Love Lawn Games. I have been a Physical Education teacher for 33 years and love this unit of our Life Sports class. Some of these are games I grew up playing, some have just recently been added to the curriculum and others are ones that I have learned along the way.

I am the mother of two beautiful grown children and have enjoyed playing these games both as they grew up and now when we go to family gatherings. It provides opportunities for families and friends to bond and enjoy life.

THANKFUL FOR THOSE IN MY LIFE

I am very thankful for the wonderful people in my life who have helped along the way. I want others to have the joy of being exposed to good, clean fun that they can hopefully pass on to others. If you happen to be a Physical Education teacher and can use this site to make your job easier, I will be glad that it has helped someone.

WHAT THIS SITE CAN GIVE TO YOU

My goal for this website is to give you complete rules for each game, diagrams of how to build those that can be built, strategies to the games, and some downloadable forms that you can use to organize your own lawn games in your backyard or wherever you want to play them.

My hope is that you can incorporate these games as you enjoy hosting some fun family reunions, kids parties, neighborhood watch nights, just a gathering between a few friends or maybe you are involved with students and can teach them some games.

Take a look at this site and watch as it grows over time with more information. Please let me know how you are using the site and what you would like to learn about.

If you ever have any questions, feel free to leave them below and I will be more than happy to help you out.

All the best,

Keri

6 Thoughts to “About Keri”

  1. Excellent website, and loved reading more ‘about you’ as it gives ideas behind the website itself

    Hi Keri,

I love your website…it’s suggestions are good practical healthy ways of letting off steam after a stressful day at work for example.

The perfect alternative to the bar scene after work too!

Oh, one more thing, I think it would be great to introduce employers to these fun activities… to give their employees alternatives to the boring lunch hour. It would definitely help any employee both individually and corporately! I know more corporate employers are trying to provide a better work environment for their employees and so I think this would fit quite well in those situations.

As I was going through your blog, this is what came to mind and so I thought I would share with you!

Great site, keep up the good work!

    1. Christie,
I love that idea of having employers incorporate these lawn game ideas into lunch breaks. It would be a great way of getting some fresh air and movement into what can be sedentary work days. Most of them don’t take much set up and can be played in a short time frame. I will have to look into finding a way to get this idea to corporate employers.

      Thanks,
      Keri

  3. Don’t forget Rollors which is like a combination of bocce ball, horseshoes and bowling.

I haven’t forgotten it, in fact that is one of the posts that I am working on, but thanks for the heads up. What is your favorite part of the game Rollors?
